The Mordechai David Weinfeld Torah Society was established to encourage Torah study beyond the required classes and times offered at the Academy.
Mordechai David Weinfeld Memorial Torah Society
Students who engage in at least 75 documented voluntary hours of study during each of their four years in the Academy will be inducted into the Torah Society upon graduation.
What Constitutes Voluntary?
Any Torah study that does not go toward receiving credit or grades will be accepted. For example, during the school year, one can receive Torah Society credit for attendance at any day or night class/chevruta with the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel or attendance at youth group classes that are offered a minimum of once a week for a duration of no less than three weeks.
