Dear ICJA Family:

Today was another great day of learning and co-curricular programming at ICJA – with over 120 classes meeting, the final Israel Advocacy Club event of the year, and in a boys’ program, tonight at 8 pm in Rabbi Stromer’s room (see below for information).

Thank you to all of the parents who have taken the time to write notes to our teachers in recognition of Teachers Appreciation Week. They are touching and meaningful, and are a most welcome form of appreciation!

Yesterday, JUF published a great new article about Chicago day schools going virtual. Of course, Ida Crown was featured prominently, and one of our seniors, Kiki Robinson, was “front and center” in the interview (kol hakavod to her!). Here is the link!

At today’s 9th-grade town hall meeting, the students asked a lot of great questions, and one of them was about when they can come back to the building to get things out of their lockers. I explained to them that our building had been sanitized, and we are trying to limit entry to only essential personnel. However, I do expect that in June, we will find a way to arrange for students to come in, clean their lockers, and return their textbooks. Of course, any plan will follow all safety guidelines and will be tightly controlled.

By the way, the school may be virtual, but our 2020 Keter Yearbook is real and available to order. Here is the link –

Tomorrow’s schedule is the same as today’s:

Period 1: 9:30 – 10:10 a.m.

Period 5: 10:15 – 10:55 a.m.

Period 6: 11:00 – 11:40 a.m.

Period 7: 1:00 -1:40 p.m.

Period 8: 1:45 – 2:25 p.m.

Period 9: 2:30 – 3:10p.
                Candle Lighting: 7:38 p.m.

Stay Safe and Stay Inspired!
