Her recent articles include “Knowing When to Shut Up: A Guide for Creating Collaborative Learning Environments” (National Council of Teachers of English Journal) and “Poetry as Template: Using Memoir to Create Safe Spaces” (Illinois Council of Teachers of English Journal). Because of her background as a writer, Mrs. Arons developed the memoir writing curriculum at the Academy that is the impetus for many of the works published in the school’s award-winning literary magazine, Charlotte’s Web, which she advises. The proud parent of four ICJA alumnae, she began at the Academy in 2001.
What keeps her inspired? Selflessness, kindness and nature.
