Marsha Arons holds a BA and MA from Northwestern University in English. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, an Illinois Master Teacher, and the winner of the 2010 ATT Educator of the Year Award. She was a frequent contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and is the author of Teen Miracles. Her stories and articles have been published nationally and internationally. Her article, “Knowing When to Shut Up: A Guide for Creating Collaborative Learning Environments” was published in the National Council of Teachers of English Journal and she currently has a second article pending. The proud parent of four ICJA alumnae, she began at the Academy in 2001 and advises the ICJA literary magazine, Charlotte’s Web.
