Nurturing a Love of Israel and Religious Zionism

No other high school in Chicago promotes the kind of connection to Israel that you’ll experience at the Academy. In fact, speaking to seniors on Yom HaAtzmaut, Consul General Roey Gilad echoed a sentiment felt by everyone who knows us: “When you think of the school that is the powerhouse in supporting Israel, it is Ida Crown.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

From your first intake interview as a prospective student, our dean will explain to you that ICJA is a five-year program–four years at the Academy and one year in Israel. We will prepare you to learn in Israel and then to advocate for Israel once you attend college. We’ll also nourish your lifelong connection to the Jewish State.

Once you graduate, you’ll be among the thousands of Academy students recruited to the best Israel programs available and known to be among the most prepared participants once you arrive.

As for Israel advocacy on campus? Many of our seniors join JUF’s esteemed Write On For Israel program. Second semester seniors at ICJA prepare for life on college campuses through an Israel advocacy course with Ms. Susan Sennett.
