ICJA’s 2026 All-School Retreat was one of our best yet!

ICJA’s 2026 All-School Retreat was one of our best yet! Close to 300 students and staff members traveled to Camp Chi in Wisconsin for two days of Torah learning, fun, and connection.

Students learned Hilchot Teshuva with their peers, shared beautiful divrei Torah, and spent time learning with teachers outside the classroom. Meals, activities, and informal time together gave everyone the chance to strengthen friendships, connect with faculty, and enjoy being together as an ICJA community in Camp Chi’s beautiful setting.

Students packed the two days with activities. They tackled the ropes courses, went “snow” tubing, boating and go-karting, played sports, visited the water park, created crafts, played games, gathered around bonfires, and more.

Our late-night mishmar was a highlight of the retreat. Students chose from a range of Torah topics and learned together late into the evening while enjoying cholent, fruit, and sweet treats. The combination of learning, food, and time with friends captured so much of what makes the ICJA retreat special.

We could not have created this experience without the generous support of Leslie ’81 and Tom ’81 Silverstein, who help make this beloved ICJA tradition possible. Mrs. Alissa Zeffren and Rav Mordy Greenland devoted tremendous time and energy to planning every aspect of the retreat, and our faculty and staff brought that planning to life throughout the two days. Most of all, our students brought their enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to making the retreat an unforgettable two days for the entire ICJA community.
