ICJA’s Spring 2026 Drivers Education program will be taught at ICJA by Northwestern Driving School beginning March 18th and through May 24th. To register for this course, students need to be at least 15 years old before the program’s final session.

Northwestern Driving School offers a fully certified High School Teen Driver Education Program and consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of driving time, and 6 hours of observation. This course fulfills the requirements for obtaining an Illinois driver’s License for 15, 16, or 17-year-old.

Since 1989, Northwestern Driving school has earned an excellent reputation for responsible driving instruction helping students develop:

  • A better understanding of the mental skills required to be safe, responsible drivers.
  • Safe driving habits and better decision-making skills, particularly in hazardous situations.
  • In addition to classroom instruction at ICJA, Northwestern Driving School provides pick-up and drop-off driving lessons from home or school.

The Northwestern Driving School Teen Course costs $435 if paying with a credit card ($430 if paying with a check dropped off at our office).

The course fee includes the following:

  • 30 Hours of Classroom (onsite @ ICJA)
  • 6-Hours of Driving and 6-Hours of Observation
  • Free Pick-up and Drop-Off from home or school
  • Free Online Permit Exam Preparation Course, which allows students to obtain their instruction permit as soon as three days from starting class.

Payment for this course is due at the time of registration, which is open on a first-come, first-served basis for a maximum of 25 students. Payment can be made online at https://www.icja.org/drivers-ed/ or via check submitted to the front office.
