Chavee (Summer) Gottlieb started at ICJA in 2008. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Natural Science from Loyola University Chicago, a M.S. in Chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University and an Ed.M. in Teacher Leadership from Brandeis University.  She is also a trained new teacher mentor by the Jewish New Teacher Project. She Is the Chair  of the Science Department, the tenth grade Chemistry teacher and is an active new teacher mentor at ICJA.

Chavee’s educational philosophy is to teach her students to make evidence based claims. “My goal is to support my students to make connections between the observable world, and the scientific principles that govern it.”

Chavee lives in Chicago with her husband and four children. “I am grateful for the outstanding education my son is receiving as a current student at ICJA”.
