Tefillah Policy
נוהל תפילה
Perhaps more than anything else, the way we conduct ourselves during tefillah is an indication of our religious persona. As such, tefillah is an important part of our school day, a requirement for all students and an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with G-d.
Please follow the guidelines listed below to help make tefillah meaningful:
- Arrive on time for Tefillah (8:05am for Shacharit and 2:41pm for Mincha).
- Participate respectfully — no talking.
- Remain in assigned location until Tefillah has ended.
- Follow faculty directions.
Accountability

| A student arrives late (8:15 or later), leaves early, or misses Shacharit five times in a quarter | The student receives a detention. Upon the sixth time, a parent meeting will be required. *Please note, your grade for Tefillah is dependent on attendance, so grade will be impacted with multiple absences/tardies. |
| A student arrives late, leaves early, or misses Mincha five times | The student receives a detention. Upon the sixth time, a parent meeting will be required. |
| A student is disruptive during Tefillah | Administrative intervention may occur. |
Additional Expectations:
Students who are chronically late or absent may become ineligible for participation in school programs such as team sports, Senior Leaders, and the Torah Chapter of the National Honor Society, and may face further disciplinary action, including suspension.
More than two tardies or two absences from the 7:15 AM Friday minyan may result in dismissal from the seminar class.
Parents or students are responsible for informing the school office of absences or tardies due to family occasions or medical reasons. Special circumstances may be considered by the administration.
