The two-time Jewish World Series Champions, Ida Crown Aces, love nothing more than playing winning baseball. This past Sunday, the Aces, brought that spirit to Keshet ballplayers, spending a lovely afternoon playing in the “Buddy Baseball” program. Buddy Baseball is played on a disability enabled baseball field, allowing all ballplayers to enjoy the game. Each Ace was engaged as a buddy, to assist special needs ballplayers. Boys and girls, young and young at heart, participated in the game, where high-fives were abundant and smiles were stretched from first to third.

Ben Rosenblum says, “I joined because Coach Asher recommended it, and I thought it would be a great oppurtunity to do something that I enjoy while at the same time giving back to the Jewish community and really being able to put a smile on someone’s face. I think I speak for the whole Ida Crown baseball team when I say that I hope that in the future we will be able to spend more time with them and really get to know them better.”

Thank you to senior team captain Avi Asher for organizing the outing.
