First Town Hall Meeting March 30, 2020

Dear ICJA Family:

 

This update will be brief because we are getting ready for our VIRTUAL Dr. Edward A. Crown Scholarship Dinner – 8:00p tonight. Click here to join https://zoom.us/j/683772473.

Today, I was delighted to have our first Town Hall Meeting since going virtual. The boys who participated were concerned whether or not we would have to extend the school year (we have no plans to do so) and what would happen with finals (we still hope to have them). I also asked them about the use of zoom (they felt it was manageable), and about the special programs we’ve had so far (they felt they wanted them to continue to continue).

 

Which is a perfect segue to mentioning two special programs that we are announcing today:

• Wednesday, 8:30 pm – ICJA Virtual “Let’s Make a Deal” – a fun evening of games for our students (see the attached flyer)

• Friday 12:30p-1:00p – A Special Presentation: Coronavirus: The Pandemic, with Dr. Mark Behlke, Chief Scientific Officer of Integrated DNA Technologies. This presentation will be open to our students and parents.

 

Please don’t forget that tomorrow night we will have a Town Hall Meeting for Parents – 8:00 pm. In addition to reviewing our current plans, I will also be welcoming Dr. Ben Katz, a parent of alumni who is on faculty at Lurie Children’s Hospital and who specializes in infectious diseases.
