ICJA students hit the road on September 15 for a day of Ida Crown On the Town, enjoying fun bonding and educational experiences on grade level trips.

Freshman enjoyed “Capture the Teacher” at the Botanic Gardens, where they traveled in groups to find 12 teachers cleverly stationed around the gardens, blending in as visitors. Once they found their teachers, they asked them questions to get to know them more personally- about their hobbies, quirks, and interests beyond the classroom.

After lunch at Mizrahi Grill, they traveled to a Team Building course in Northbrook, where a professional team helped them develop both individual and collective skills such as a sense of leadership, respect, reliability, and collaboration. What a fantastic way to start the year!

Sophomores traveled to the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago for a really fascinating tour displaying artifacts that relate directly to their Jewish History curriculum. They were able to see their lessons come alive in this famous exhibit! After pizza and ice cream, the grade made their way to Millennium Park for the famous ICJA Instagram scavenger hunt on Michigan Avenue!

Juniors did not let distance deter them from journeying to Indiana for laser tag, arcade games, bumper cars, and more at Jax Warehouse! After a packed morning, they returned to Skokie for a relaxed afternoon of sports and barbecue at Central Park.
