Rosh Chodesh Elul 5780
August 21, 2020

Dear ICJA Family

In just a few days, most of us will be back for in-person learning at ICJA. It is an exciting time and a time when we need to be hyper-vigilant in protecting our community’s health and safety.

This week, I met with all of our students and reviewed the rules of the school, emphasizing that masks must be worn in the building at all times (exception during lunch), that social distancing is required both inside and outside of the building, and that we must maintain the highest standards of safety even when not at school. Never before has the concept of “kol Yisrael areivim zeh ba’zeh” [all Jews are responsible for one another] been so critical and clear.

Attached, please find a document that contains an updated FAQ, with many added details and a copy of the presentation I shared with our students during our meetings this week.

Please review these pages and spend some time as a family familiarizing yourself with these rules and procedures. Together, we will be able to protect our families and students. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. We need your input and wisdom to help us do our best.

Finally, later today, you will receive an electronic copy of your schedule of classes. Please have this electronic copy handy for the first day of school because to avoid lines, we will not be providing printed copies as in the past.

With great anticipation for an exciting, albeit, most unusual new school year, and with wishes for a Shabbat Shalom and Chodesh Tov, I remain

LAM
