What year did you make aliyah and how old were you?

1971 at 21 years old

Did your experience in high school influence your decision to make aliyah and if so, how?

Yes, strengthening Jewish education, identity and similarly minded friends.

What was your path to aliyah like?

Bnei Akiva and hachshara after high school then back to Israel starting with Yeshiva.

Did you serve in the IDF? 

Yes, it was difficult but rewarding.

What has been the most rewarding about living in Israel?

Being part of Israel and raising a family in Israel.

What is the most challenging part of making aliyah?

Making a living.

What is your advice for our students today?

The future of the Jewish people is in Israel come on aliyah and roll with the punches – there is no other way.
