Welcome Rabbi Jonathan Sacks

We were honored to welcome Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks to davening this morning with our students and staff at KINS. Following beautiful tefillot led by senior Josh Polster, Rabbi Sacks addressed our student body, speaking about the parsha and its relevance to today’s world.

Rabbi Sacks also answered questions from the audience and made special mention of Rabbi Shmuel Kurtz and last year’s AJSP class who wrote letters to Rabbi Sacks, based on his writings, Letters to the Next Generation 2. Rabbi Sacks said, “Those 18 letters were among the most beautiful letters I have ever received.” Read about that project with Rabbi Kurtz’s class on our website.

We are thrilled to be presenting a community lecture with Rabbi Sacks this motzaei Shabbat at 8PM at Congregation KINS. We will open the program with a short video and presentation from one of our students, showcasing the Academy to the hundreds of community members expected to join us. The event is free and includes a book signing opportunity. We hope that many members of the Academy family will be there to join us.
